Not Anti-Islamic day
Its Australia Day.
I am only too aware of how many people think its racist to fly an Australian flag…Racist to Aboriginals (probably racist of me to even call them that these days, they may be the ‘original occupiers’ or some such crap). Racist to Migrants, as we are not flying their own flag.
I am calling BS on this all.
I was born in Australia. under the current Australian Flag. So I am Australian. and should be allowed to celebrate that fact. I bet if we went to ANY other country in the world, and tried to tell them they couldnt celebrate their National Holiday because it hurt our feelings, we would either get laughed or thrown out of the Country.
So I say, C’mon Aussie. Have some balls and call it what it is.
And fly our fucking flag as high as you like.
We are Australian After all.
Not that it particularly matters to me really. We dont celebrate it. And we dont fly a flag.
In fact ours consisted of picking up Claire and Hugh from the Airport, and going to the park.
