Today, Leah and I did something that’s a little rare for us these days. We made a decision.
A BIG decision too.
Not just a little decision that affects us for an hour or so, like ‘What shall we have for dinner today?’
Not just a medium decision that affects us for a few days, like ‘Where shall we holiday in June?’
Not even a larger decision that affects us for months, like ‘Will we enrol Eli in swimming for 10 weeks?’
Nope. They all pale into insignificance in comparison to this one.
This one affects us for YEARS. Many many years.
Because today, we decided to buy a Rabbit for Grace.
Except – after we made the decision, and Leah went to pay the deposit so we could pick it up the next day, Leah realised there were not one but TWO rabbits. Siblings no less.
So today, when we decided to buy ONE rabbit for Grace, we bought TWO!
And tomorrow I get to race around like a madman, laying turf and building a rabbit hutch for them (yes I know it says CHOOK HOUSE), so we can get them for Grace after school as a surprise.
Sometimes, I do wonder if this whole making decisions thing is a good idea…..
